Butt aesthetics refers to a set of surgical procedures aimed at giving the buttocks a fuller, lifted, and more proportionate appearance. Today, the most commonly preferred methods are fat injection (BBL) and silicone implant applications.

In the Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) method, excess fat taken from the patient’s own body (usually from the waist, abdomen, or hips) is purified through special processes and injected into the buttocks. This helps shape the body while naturally enhancing the buttocks. Another method, butt implants, is aimed at adding volume using silicone implants in individuals who do not have enough fat tissue.

The duration of the procedure varies depending on the chosen method but generally takes around 2–3 hours. It is performed under general anesthesia. In the first few days after surgery, swelling, tenderness, and bruising may occur. These symptoms usually subside within 10–14 days.

During the recovery period, it is important to avoid sitting directly for the first few weeks. Special cushions should be used when sitting, and lying face down or on the side is recommended. Wearing a compression garment is advised for 4–6 weeks. Return to daily activities is usually possible within 7–10 days.

Full results are typically seen within 2–3 months. About 60–70% of the injected fat remains permanently, resulting in a natural appearance.
